Read our full Fujifilm GFX 50S II review for more details Best medium format camera with a retro-feel When we reviewed the Fujifilm GFX 50S II, we reckoned it was the next vital step for medium format in becoming truly mainstream, and we still think that's the case – it brings you that incomparable medium format look, for a price that's comparable to full frame. What's more, you get all this at a cheaper price point than the original GFX 50S, making the GFX 50S II a seriously compelling option for photographers switching to medium format. It's the fifth model in the GFX series and on paper, there doesn’t seem to be a huge difference between the Mark II and its predecessor – It reuses the 51.4MP sensor from the original GFX 50S, but it's housed in the more compact body of the GFX 100S, and Fujifilm have added in-body image stabilization worth 6.5 stops - a first for a GFX model. Read more: Hasselblad X2D 100C review for more details Most affordable medium format cameraįujifilm is continuing its tradition of portability and affordability in its medium format cameras, making the GFX50S II one of the most tempting propositions yet. Take one look at the image files it produces and you will be in love, just like we were when we tested this beauty. Honestly, though, nobody buys a medium-format camera to vlog with, so this should be the farthest thing from your mind. The asterisk is that the X2D does not shoot video in any way, shape, or form. In addition to a 5.76 million dot viewfinder, which enables you to see every ounce of detail in your 100MP shots, the camera supports CFexpress B cards but also boasts 1TB of internal storage. Thanks to the stunning 100MP image sensor and Hasselblad's exceptional Natural Colour Solution technology, simply put I have never seen images as stunning come straight out of any other camera – photos are gallery ready, directly out of the X2D.Įmploying hybrid phase detect autofocus, Hasselblad's latest mirrorless marvel has the fast and robust AF system it deserves – and it also boasts a stunning seven stops of in-body image stabilization, which is unprecedented for a medium format camera, making this a truly hand-holdable device that can shoot whatever, wherever. If you're looking for ultimate photographic quality, look no further – the Hasselblad X2D is the definitive still imaging machine. Read our hands-on Fujifilm GFX 100 II review for more details Best medium format camera for image quality The Fujifilm GFX 100S is an outstanding achievement and an exciting glimpse into the future of medium format. This is smaller, lighter, and cheaper than any other camera offering 100MP right now. Fujifilm's gorgeous film simulation modes also make their obligatory appearance, opening up some fun shooting possibilities and the ability to experiment with different looks. This IBIS isn't quite good enough for on-the-go vlogging or shooting handheld at 1/8sec, but it's still very impressive. Video shooting has also been improved, with this model offering a 8K capture with over 13 stops of dynamic range. Additionally the eyelevel viewfinder is now detachable. Unlike the bigger GFX 100, the vertical grip is an optional extra, rather than being built in as standard. There is an 8fps motordrive setting and a buffer that can shoot bursts of upto 325 shots. This is Fujifilm's third-generation 100-megapixel model - and it gives an an impressive upgrade in speed, that makes this a viable option for shooting sports or wildlife.

These three bug-like dumbasses learned that the hard way. Kamacuras Movie: Son of Godzilla (1967) You don’t mess with Godzilla’s son. And look at that foot work! It’s stupid fun that makes for a great ending to this movie. And by “team up” we mean Godzilla tries to punch while Rodan has this habit of diving into Ghidorah at full speed and knocking everyone over. Ghidorah Movie: Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965) This fight lasts a hot second but it’s always special seeing two monsters team up. Those guys didn’t even get their own names, so there was no way they were gonna win this one. And yet, this film meets those expectations, particularly in the finale as the king faces off against the nasty MUTOs. But without the instant charm of people clearly dressing up as giant monsters, there’s more of a challenge to make something memorable. MUTOs Movie: Godzilla (2014) With 2014’s American Godzilla reboot, the rubber suits of yesteryear were gone, replaced by CGI. Yes, it’s not a perfect period, but when it comes to all five eras of Godzilla, it’s the closest to being perfect.Īnd that’s the list.10. All of these characters are now seen as integral villains of Godzilla, and the stories surrounding them are usually pretty interesting. Not only did it have interesting changes to characters we were already familiar with through the Showa Era, like Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla, but it also added brand new, interesting ones, like Biollante, SpaceGodzilla and the aforementioned Destoroyah. Destoroyah.īut, what makes this period so special is just what it did to the Godzilla universe in general. The Hensei Era, which started with maybe my second favorite Godzilla movie, The Return of Godzilla (I just love Godzilla as a terror, you see), also has the best arc for Godzilla, culminating in the really sad “death” of Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Godzilla fans are usually pretty unanimous on what the best era of Godzilla is, and I’m not even going to challenge it. If that doesn’t tell you how I feel about the MonsterVerse, then I don’t know what will. Is it fair? Maybe not, but as a lifelong Godzilla fan, I’m much more excited for the upcoming Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire than I am for Godzilla Minus One. So really, King Kong is a deciding factor in my list of the best Godzilla eras. Sure, some of the MonsterVerse films are way better than others, as I’ve ranked all of them, but with only four films at this point in the cycle, I think I prefer it to the so-far lackluster Reiwa Era, and I appreciate that they’re all connected, unlike the lopsided Millennium Era.Īnd hell, since I will always go to bat for Roland Emmerich’s 1998 Godzilla movie (believe it or not, but I actually prefer it to the 2014 Godzilla movie), I will include that in here as well since it’s another American Godzilla flick, even though it’s not connected to the MonsterVerse in any way.īut honestly, I think I may be cheating a little bit since I LOVE the King Kong that the MonsterVerse has provided, and I even prefer Godzilla vs. I’ve already written about how I think the MonsterVerse is the best shared universe we currently have, and I stand behind that comment. productions, but I can definitely explain. Some may not appreciate that I’m putting the Legendary MonsterVerse movies over the Toho Co. Honestly, besides Godzilla: Final Wars, which I always like to watch, I have to really be in the mood for the other Millennium Era films. This is the era where I don’t feel committed to spending an entire day (which is probably for the best) just vegging out and watching multiple Godzilla movies in a row, and will instead just occasionally watch one of them and call it a day. In that way, what really makes the Millennium Era stand out, for both good and bad, is the lack of consistency. It doesn’t help that almost all of the films (besides Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo: S.O.S.) are standalone films that only have the original movie as a form of continuation. But there are also some not-so-great Godzilla movies in there, too, like Godzilla 2000: Millennium and Godzilla vs. Personally, I consider it a mixed bag, as we definitely got some winners in there (I’m actually a huge fan of Final Wars), and Godzilla Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack are excellent. Millennium Era (1999-2004)ĭepending on whom you ask, the Millennium Era, which began with Godzilla 2000: Millennium and ended with the absolutely insane Godzilla: Final Wars, is either one of the best eras of Godzilla or one of the absolute worst. Cinematographer Mark Patten shoots this patriotic imagery as if it were a commercial for Chevy trucks-all that’s missing is Bob Seger singing “Like a Rock.”īut Jim’s peace is shattered when a mother and son cross into the United States from Mexico through a section of fence that borders his land. An American flag waves in the foreground as he approaches his modest house. At the film’s start, we see him driving along dusty roads in his pickup with his pooch riding shotgun as the setting sun bathes the desert landscape in a warm glow. It’s been a year since his wife died of cancer, and he spends his days with his trusty dog, Jackson, patrolling the property he’s in danger of losing to the bank. Neeson stars as rancher Jim Hanson, a Marine and decorated Vietnam War veteran living a quiet life in southern Arizona along the Mexico border. And despite his ever-formidable presence, Neeson seems to be going through the motions, even as he’s kicking ass. Director Robert Lorenz seems to be aiming for the kind of cranky-old-man-on-a-mission movies Clint Eastwood has directed and stars in of late-which makes sense, given that Lorenz has produced several Eastwood films over the past two decades including “ Million Dollar Baby” and “ Gran Torino” and directed him in “Trouble With the Curve.” But while the sheen of such movies exists here-perhaps too much, given the subject matter-the substance is sorely missing. The story is thin, the suspense is wan, and the action sequences are uninspired. There’s not much to the character Neeson plays, or anyone else in the film, for that matter. But this year’s entry in the subgenre, “The Marksman,” is particularly mediocre. It’s time for your annual Liam Neesoning: that cinematic tradition in which the seasoned star plays a grizzled character with a particular set of skills, which come in handy to dispatch bad guys and rescue good ones. With the IRremote library, I get a folder named “Arduino-IRremote-3.6.1”, because I’ve downloaded the version with the 3.6.1 tag. Now, you will get one folder, which actually contains the library you want to install. So, extract the library from the zip file. If you try to use the zip file directly it won’t work. The number one mistake when installing an Arduino library is to forget to extract it. This step is super basic but also super important. Now let’s come back to the zip file we’ve just downloaded. You will find a “readme.txt” file, and also some other folders if you ever installed other Arduino libraries before.Īnd by just finding this folder, you’ve already solved half of the problem. What you will also see is a folder named “libraries”. If you’ve already created some Arduino programs you will find them here. Now, open a file manager and go to this folder. Here you can find where your Arduino programs (named “sketched”) are saved. To find this folder, open the Arduino IDE, and go to File > Preferences. When you install the Arduino IDE, there is actually a specific folder created just for that. Let’s start to find out where you need to install the library. Installing an Arduino library is a super easy process: you just have to extract the zip file and put the library inside the correct folder on your computer. Now that you have downloaded the zip file for the library, let’s install it. In this case, from the main page of the library, select a branch (here we keep “master” which is the main branch). You might also want to download the library with the very last changes (commits) – not necessary a tagged version. You may have more recent versions available.Ĭlick on the “zip” button on the selected version to download it as an archive. Note: the versions you see on the screenshot above are the ones I got when writing the tutorial. Now, you can choose whichever version you want to download – either the latest on the top, or any previous one. This will bring you to all the possible tagged version for the library. Download a specific version of the library…Īfter you’ve found the library on GitHub, click on “tags”. You can also go on GitHub first and type the library name on the search bar. In this case, let’s search for “IRremote github”, which leads us to the GitHub page for the library. The easiest way to find the library is simply to search for “name of the library + github” on Google. It can be installed directly from the Arduino IDE, but here of course we’ll do it the GitHub way. This library allows you to read data from an IR remote controller with Arduino. In this tutorial I will choose the IRremote library as an example. To install an Arduino library from GitHub, you first have to download it. If you want to replace the Arduino library from GitHub.Download a specific version of the library….Download the Arduino library from GitHub.Go to Arduino > Sketch > Include Library > Add. Here’s the GitHub link for IRremote library.ģ. For that, search “IRremote library” on Google & you would get an Arduino or GitHub link for downloading it. For example – I did a tutorial on How to operate LEDs via TV Remote a while back. zip fileġ.Get the library you would like to add to Arduino.Ģ. which enable you to interface the sensors with extremely fewer lines of code and makes your job easy by significantly reducing time and efforts.ĭo not forget to watch the VIDEO TUTORIAL at the end! □ 2 ways to install Arduino libraries are – Method 1 – By directly adding. To put in layman terms, libraries are add-ons, plugins, mods, upgrades etc. Importing or installing a library is a very usual thing to do if you are someone who is into robotics or perhaps just an enthusiast who is into electronics and keeps inventing or experimenting every now and then. Today, we will rather have a short tutorial on how to add or install Arduino libraries instead of the usual sensor-Arduino interfacing. To diagnose bulging eyes, the veterinarian will do a complete history and physical examination plus an eye examination. How Veterinarians Diagnose Bulging Eyes in Dogs Hemorrhage, bacterial, or fungal infection inside the eye: The causes for each are the same as above but occur inside the eye, causing the eye itself to become enlarged. Tumor inside the eye: Tumors that occur inside the eye include melanoma, ciliary body tumors, and metastatic tumors that have spread to the eye from elsewhere in the body. Glaucoma can be inherited in the Miniature Poodle, Boston Terrier, Shar-Pei, Chow Chow, American Cocker Spaniel, Basset Hound, Great Dane, and Welsh Springer Spaniel. Glaucoma: In glaucoma, fluid cannot drain normally from the eye, enlarging it. However, these dogs are more prone to corneal ulcers and proptosis with even a slight head injury. This causes no discomfort on a day-to-day basis. Zygomatics salivary gland mucocele: Severe swelling or blockage of the salivary gland below the eye can cause the eye to bulge forward.īreed-related: Brachycephalic dogs with short noses such as the Pug or French Bulldog tend to have eyes that bulge forward normally. This is more common in Basset Hounds, which can have dysplasia of the jaw joint. Temporomandibular joint (jaw) dislocation: If the jaw joint becomes dislocated, the eyes will bulge forward. Puppies can develop bulging eyes and glaucoma because of added bone in their eye sockets. They are in a lot of pain and can have difficulty eating and drinking. It is a rare disorder, but it is more likely to occur in Golden Retrievers than in other breeds.Ĭraniomandibular osteopathy: In this disease, puppies develop excess bone on their skull starting at about 5–8 months of age. It is common in Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Weimaraners.Įxtraocular myositis: This is an autoimmune swelling of the muscles that attach the eyes to the socket. Swelling of the muscles behind the eyes causes them to bulge forward and may lead to blindness. The typical signs are pain opening the jaw, with difficulty eating and drinking. Masticatory myositis: This is an autoimmune swelling of the muscles of the head and the muscles behind the eyes. Tumor: While tumors in the tissue behind the eye are uncommon, a nose tumor or brain tumor may cause the eye to bulge forward. Hemorrhage: This is bleeding behind the eye, which can be due to trauma to the eye, rat/mouse poison, low platelets, or a coagulation disorder. Retrobulbar abscess: A retrobulbar abscess is a pocket of pus behind the eye due to an infection from one of the causes listed above. piece of stick or foxtail) stuck behind the eye. Check your pet’s symptom Symptoms of Bulging Eyes in Dogs There are a bunch of expensive spells in black that get a lot better if you can throw away a spud to ramp them out. I think Blood Funnel is another interesting option. My one gripe about it is that building around it ups the number of cards you have to tutor for, since I almost always end up burning a tutor to find a protection effect for Shirei early to make sure I don't get shut down by creature removal (Shirei has to survive an entire turn to work). It also allows you to Shirei back 2/X creatures, since Shirei only checks power at the time the creature dies, and that opens the deck up to a lot more effects. You can afford to run more high-end haymakers and use Summoning to accelerate them out while giving you board control with death triggers on the little guys. It pushes the deck in a different direction, I think. I'm really hoping there's a 1-power, mono-black creature with Afterlife in Orzhov because it probably gets auto-added here. I've gotten a few games with this deck under my belt and it is hilarious and fun but not very powerful, mostly because of Shirei's poor cost-to-stats ratio and lack of survivability options in black. Like I said, I wanted to build an Aristocrats deck but did not want to shell out for 20+ Shadowborn Apostles and build that nonsense, so here we are. If you have a way to shrink your own creatures, he will revive men with 2+ power provided they died with power 1 or less. Even if he dies but is then brought back within the same turn, his trigger will not go off because he is considered a new object.Ģ) Shirei only cares about the power of your creatures when they died and does not check their power again while they are in the graveyard. There are a couple of quirks about Shirei worth mentioning:ġ) Shirei has to live the entire turn in order to bring your minions back. I've wanted to build a proper Aristocrats deck for a while, and the reprinting of Shirei and the associated drop in foil prices made it seem like an obvious time to put together a new deck.
